Hailey Baldwin has proven that she doesn’t care one bit about Selena Gomez’s new song, “Lose You to Love Me.” The track was released last week, and reports swirled that Gomez’s inspiration for the song was her relationship with Justin Bieber.

Shortly after the release of the song, Baldwin posted a screenshot of herself listening to “I’ll Kill You” by Summer Walker. Gomez fans quickly came to the conclusion that Bieber’s wife was trying to throw shade at their idol. But Baldwin was quick to deny that this the case.

Gomez also went on Instagram Live to encourage her supporters to stop spreading hate. She also urged everyone to be kinder to each other.

“I am grateful for the response that the song is getting,” Gomez said. “I'm so grateful. However, I do not stand for women tearing women down. And I will never, ever be by that. So please be kind to everyone. It doesn't matter what the situation is. If you're my fans, don't be rude to anybody, please. Don't go off and say things that you just feel at the moment. And just please, from me, know that that's not my heart,” she added.

Days after the back and forth between Gomez and Baldwin, it seems that the print model is finally closing this brief chapter of her life. Baldwin uploaded an adorable photo of her younger self with her tongue sticking out.

“20 years later, I still have the same crooked lil smile,” Baldwin captioned the photo. Her close friends and followers called her cute.

Meanwhile, Gomez’s new song really seems like an ode to her and Bieber’s past relationship. After calling it quits the first time, the two rekindled their romance briefly after Gomez underwent transplant.

A source told E! News that Bieber has heard Gomez’s new song, but he and his wife are trying their best not to comment on the lyrics of the track. “It isn't ideal for Hailey but she understands the creative process of writing music and that Justin had a past,” the source said.

“Justin has completely moved on from that chapter of his life and understands that Selena is allowed to reflect on the past in her own way. Justin and Hailey both want Selena to be happy and in a good place and aren't phased by it,” the source added.
