Sources knowledgeable about the whole Royal Family situation recently revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan only received a 15-minute audience from the Queen on Saturday during the Platinum Jubilee, as rumors swirl of a widening separation between the couple and the Royal Family.

The Queen, who had a jam-packed few days as she attended events during the Platinum Jubilee, was not in attendance at the Derby at Epsom Downs and the Platinum Party at the Palace that day due to discomfort but was still only able to give 15 minutes to Harry to introduce her new great-grandchild and namesake Lilibet, according to Marie Claire.

“It was a quick in and out job,” a source said. “It was all quite formal.”

The Sussexes reportedly went to the Platinum Jubilee with the expectation of making amends and bridging the gap between the family after Harry and Meghan decided to leave the monarchy, but have so far found resistance from many members of the Royal Family during the events, another Marie Claire article reported.

“They went there hoping to mend fences and ran into a brick wall,” royal expert Christopher Andersen said. “I’m sure they expected to have a warmer welcome than what they received.”

As some reports of the situation say that “the pair were then kept at arm’s length by senior royals during the Jubilee,” many were not surprised that the Sussexes left early Sunday before the festivities formally concluded with the Platinum Jubilee Pageant that ended with a Buckingham Palace balcony appearance from the Queen.

By Friday, Prince Harry was spotted at the Cancha de Estrella's Polo Club in Santa Barbara playing a game of polo with his friend Nacho Figueras’ team, which ended with them losing to the opposing team, People reported.

As the reported freeze-out from the family continued, some have speculated that the Oprah interview that the couple gave as well as the tell-all memoir that Harry plans to publish in the future has made the senior royals nervous about what it could say about them.

“[The] royal family is terrified about what’s going to be contained in the book Harry is going to be publishing at the end of this year,” Andersen stated.
