The second season of “Heels” starring Stephen Amell will be happening this October.

According to PWInsider, the second season of “Heels” will premiere on Starz on October 9.

The show created by Michael Waldron will continue to tackle the life of two professional wrestlers. Amell plays the part of Jack Spade while Alexander Ludwig plays the part of Ace Spade.

Both play out scripted matches in the ring but also have to deal with their real-life differences.

Before the big day, Amell shared some of the training regimens he did for the wrestling drama. This includes a superhero-level workout theme that involved curling that was allegedly between 105 to 120 pounds.

Taken last April, this was reportedly the time when Amell was in Atlanta filming for the second season of “Heels.”

In June, the former “Arrow” actor also shared how he would recover from the strenuous workouts, soaking him in an ice bath.

The second season was officially announced in November 2021 after the show debuted in August. Like other productions, the series was not spared from delays due to the pandemic.

But aside from that, Amell was not spared from injuries. He dealt with a back injury, something the 41-year-old actor sustained while filming a stunt.

"I actually fractured my hip when I did that and didn't realize it," Amell said at the time. "I got a note from Big Show, 'Nice Coast to Coast. That looked pretty stiff.' And at the time, I felt like I was sitting on a tennis ball. Like, I didn't know what was going on."

“Heels” is the latest show that Amell is into after his successful run for “Arrow.” His character was killed off in one of the crossovers although the actor is open to reprising his role but on a different level.

"Oh, sure. I owe so much to the people of DC, The CW, and Warner Bros. Television," Amell said.
