Kate Middleton’s three children reportedly received special treatment during a recent event. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis attended the flower show that Kate participated in last May.

According to the Royal Horticultural Society’s website, children below the age of 5 years are not allowed entry to the garden display. Pushchairs and prams for babies cannot also be brought into the premises.

This rule was most likely put in place to ensure that the display won’t be destroyed by bulky pushchairs and by young children running around. But Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were allowed entry to the Chelsea Flower Show.

At the time of the event, Prince George was already 5 years old, and he’s already allowed to view the garden display. But it would be surprising for royal fans to only see the eldest Cambridge child at the gathering.

Prince William and Kate also took Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to the event, but Princess Charlotte was just 4 years old when the Chelsea Flower Show took place. Prince Louis, on the other hand, just turned 1 year old. This proves that the rules were indeed bent for the royal siblings.

This isn’t the first time that the Cambridges broke royal rules for their kids. In 2013, Prince George was just a few months old when he joined his parents to their royal tours of New Zealand and Australia.

Prince George wasn’t the first royal baby to join a royal tour, however. Years ago, Princess Diana told Prince Charles that the only way for her to participate in their first royal tour as a family is if young Prince William would join them.

Prince William and Kate also allowed Prince George and Princess Charlotte to be absent from school to attend Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s royal wedding on Oct. 12, 2018. The royal siblings served as one of Princess Eugenie and Jack’s bridesmaids and pageboys.

In 2016, Prince William and his wife also gave Prince George their blessing to go to the cockpit of a RAF Aerobic Team’s Red Arrow Hawks plane. At that time, Prince George was just 2 years old.
