Princess Diana previously went topless while sunbathing on a Spanish balcony. Her photos were taken and leaked by one publication shortly after.

In an article for Daily Mail, Conde Nast chairman Nicholas Coleridge revealed how Princess Diana reacted to her controversial photograph. He said that during his conversation with the Princess of Wales, the latter asked him if he thought that her breasts were too small.

The shocking question came in the heels of another one of Princess Diana’s surprising revelations. She said that Prince William became upset after learning about the photographs from his schoolmates at Eton.

Prince William, who was a teenager at that time, was teased by his schoolmates over the size of his mom’s breasts. His peers said that they were too small.

“Nicholas, can I ask you something?” Princess Diana said. “Please be truthful. Did you see the photograph of me in the Daily Mirror? The topless one?” she said.

Princess Diana then asked Coleridge if her breasts were too small, and the chairman said that they were perfect. He also urged the late royal to not worry.

Meanwhile, Princess Diana wasn’t the only member of the royal family who was photographed topless while on vacation. In 2012, Kate Middleton was also photographed topless while vacationing in France with Prince William.

At that time, a tabloid published the Duchess of Cambridge’s photo on the cover of their newspaper with the caption, “Oh my God!” Another local paper also published the same photo.

Both publications were sued by Prince William, and they were forced to pay the Cambridges a hefty sum of money. The dad of three also released a statement in court.

“In September 2012, my wife and I thought that we could go to France for a few days in a secluded villa owned by a member of my family, and thus enjoy our privacy,” he said. “We know France and the French and we know that they are, in principle, respectful of private life, including that of their guests. The clandestine way in which these photographs were taken was particularly shocking to us as it breached our privacy.”
