Apple's newest desktop it out and it has been getting some pretty good reviews.
USA Today's Edward Baig said the brand new iMac is hard to pass by.
"Apple's latest all-in-one desktop is indeed a sight for the eyes," Baig wrote. "It has a display so thin that you can't fathom how the company squeezed so much computing power behind it. Apple has always led the aesthetic cutting edge. But the edge I'm talking about here is a mere 5 millimeters - about one-fifth of an inch - at its thinnest juncture. The machine curves out a bit in the back but not in any way that detracts from the design."
Apple said its 21.5-inch iMac features a stunning design, brilliant display with reduced reflection, faster processors and an innovative new storage option called Fusion Drive, the new iMac is the most advanced desktop Apple has ever made.
The 21.5-inch version of the desktop starts at $1,299 and the 27-inch version starts at$1,799.00.
Fortune said the New iMac is "Apple's best ever."
"The new iMac is a powerful all-in-one that should meet the needs of all but the most demanding of users," Fortune's JP Mangalindan wrote. "The new iMac still remains a notable addition to the product line. It is the biggest iMac product redesign in years and a largely successful one, provided some users don't mind shelling out a little extra for the optical drive or overlooking this generation's omission of Retina Display."
TechCrunch said the iMac is an "update that pushes the needle in all the ways we're used to from Apple."
"This is a great time to jump on board with iMac, since Apple will likely stick with this design for a while now, and future iterations for the next few years will likely be less dramatically different," Darell Eterington wrote.
