The cast of “Friends” reportedly hated Jennifer Aniston while they were still making the show. A tabloid report claimed earlier this week that Aniston’s costars had issues with her 25 years ago, back when they were still filming “Friends.”

According to the report, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer couldn’t get along well with Aniston at that time simply because she was on her road to becoming a breakout star. They reportedly hated all the attention that Aniston was getting to the point that some of them got very jealous of her.

Titled “Friends Tell All! Why We Hated Jen,” the phony report claimed that while the cast of “Friends” seemed to be close friends on cam, there were a lot of things going on behind the scenes that fans didn’t know. These “behind-the-scenes secrets,” the tabloid claimed, were mostly brought by the tension that arose after Aniston’s success allegedly started to go to her head.

“Everyone wanted to interview Jen, and her ‘Rachel’ hair became such a phenomenon that it was the only thing people talked about,” said the tabloid’s suspicious source. “They were supposed to be a team, but all anyone cared about was Jen and her stupid hair. It got very annoying!” the source added.

Of all her costars, Cox and Kudrow were reportedly the most jealous. While they never really had any confrontation with Aniston at that time, the two stars were said to secretly hated all the attention that Aniston was receiving when they were supposed to be just as popular as her.

As for the boys, the tabloid claimed that Perry, LeBlanc and Schwimmer subtly expressed their annoyance toward Aniston by making mean-spirited jokes. “The boys gave her a hard time,” the source allegedly told the publication. “They could be cruel, and it hurt Jen. They felt she thought she was better than they were.”

The phony source also added that Aniston’s costars only started to get along well with her after they started to rise to fame just as Aniston did. After all, the alleged reason they hated Aniston at first was that she was more popular than they were.

Gossip Cop reached out to a source close to Aniston, and the source described the report as “nonsense.” According to the source, the tabloid was simply taking advantage of the hype around the show, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this month.

It is also hard to imagine her costars hating on Aniston when their friendship has remained strong all these years. In fact, Cox remains one of Aniston’s best friends to this day.
