Juan Gabriel is back better than ever with a new project that will pair him up with some of the biggest Latin singers. This week it was revealed that the first single off of "Los Dúo" album is called "Querida" and it features Juanes. The Colombian singer and "El Divo De Juárez" make a sensational cover of the classic song. Juanga will have 18 new versions of past hits with the help of huge names in music like Vicente Fernández, Anahí, David Bisbal, José María Napoleón, Luis Fonsi, Espinoza Paz, Emmanuel, Franco De Vita, Marco Antonio Solís "El Buki" and Laura Pausini. Pausini and Juan Gabriel teamed up for a new version of "Abrázame Muy Fuerte." As you may know, this became a popular song thanks to it being theme of the telenovela of the same name. News of Juan Gabriel returning to the music scene with new material is mesmerizing as the singer had death scare last year. The 64-year-old had been hospitalized in Las Vegas after falling ill during one of his performances at the Mandalay Bay during the summer. The songwriter had been feeling sick for a couple of days but continued to make his best effort and push through his presentations. After his Sin City gig he couldn't handle it anymore and was admitted to the Southern Hills Hospital with pneumonia. The "Divo De Juarez" had to cancel his immediate presentations to recuperate and took to Twitter to inform his fans. "Everything is fine," he wrote on the social network. "There is nothing to worry about, we only need to take care of ourselves. Thanks to all the kind messages and good wishes."

Following three long weeks in the hospital battling pneumonia, the singer was released. "Everything is more than fine," personal friend, Danny Lewkowicz, told reporters. "He is happy, healthy, absorbing the sun and thinking of his upcoming shows." The news comes a day after a Twitter death scare that made the social media explode with messages of mourning. The tense situation was calmed when tv journalist Joaquín López-Doriga tweeted: "I've been informed that news of Juan Gabriel's death is false. His recovery is going so well that he will be released from the hospital in Las Vegas tomorrow."
