Julia Roberts is back in the limelight with rumors swirling between her and her cinematographer husband, Daniel Moder. Roberts has reportedly been busy with the psychological thriller television series “Homecoming,” and her marriage with Moder has just hit the 17-year mark earlier this month.

Despite reaching this hallmark of an achievement in their relationship, however, their 17-year marriage is allegedly on the rocks. If rumors are to be believed, an affair is brewing, disturbing the harmony of their marriage and causing major stress to the couple.

According to Australian weekly magazine NW, Moder has “dumped” his wife to go to Canada to work on the movie “Flag Day.” To make matters worse, the American cinematographer is rumored to have an “intense connection” with the “Vikings” star Katheryn Winnick, who has a role in “Flag Day” and is 10 years younger than Roberts.

Moder and Winnick’s affair seems to be an echo of Roberts and his love story. Moder was still together with his wife Vera Steimberg when he became close to Roberts during the filming of “The Mexican” in 2000.

You’ve got to admit, it doesn’t look good,” said NW’s source. “They’re leading such separate lives right now.” The stress of the rumored affair and the struggle of being away from her partner has allegedly taken its toll on Roberts, who is described to be “wasting away.”

“Julia has always been skinny, but since her marriage troubles began, she’s become even thinner, which isn’t good,” claims another insider. “When times are tough, she tends to neglect her diet and barely sleeps, so the pounds just melt off her.”

The article further claims that the two have been having issues for quite some time, and Roberts is “devastated” that she might get another divorce. Moder is allegedly “adamant” that nothing is going on with him and Winnick and that Roberts is “getting paranoid over nothing.”

“It’s sad to see them go through this, but it’s been coming to a head for a while,” continued the source. “It’s very clear that Julia needs to chill out and trust Danny if she wants their marriage to last.”

Popular rumor-checking website Gossip Cop, however, debunked the whole narrative, discrediting the affair, the alleged marriage troubles and the article itself. The article initially claimed that Winnick has “dumped” Roberts yet ends by saying that Roberts is simply being paranoid, making the whole narrative seem oddly composed and worded.

Aside from that, NW actually says that the marital issues are “evident” because Roberts’ anniversary Instagram post did not contain her husband. A look into her post, however, shows a clear homage to her husband, discrediting the “evident” marital issues and putting to question the whole narrative of NW.
