When Kate Middleton realized that Meghan Markle was going through a rough patch after the new mom confessed that she wasn't okay on the new ITV Documentary, Meghan & Harry: An African Journey, the Duchess of Cambridge had some warm words of advice for her.
It is said that the Duchess of Cambridge told the former actress that "every royal goes through a bad patch" due to the intense press scrutiny and it's best to "move on and get through it."
"Catherine has told Meghan that every royal – including herself – goes through a bad patch with the press but the important thing is to learn by mistakes, move on and get through it," Former royal correspondent and author Phil Dampier told the Express.
After all, who can understand Markle better than Kate? She has seen the negativities of being in the spotlight for almost 15 years now. In fact, the duchess was once called "Waity Katie" until prince William proposed. That's not all. If you remember, Kate was also dubbed "Lazy" by various critics after she gave up the job she had at her parent's party supplier company. A source, at the time, mentioned that "she was preparing for her future life."
According to Phil Dampier, the mother-of-three is adamant about helping Meghan Markle and Prince Harry get through their struggles. Also, she wants to rectify the ongoing rift between Harry and his brother Prince William. He also hinted that Kate is doing her best to prevent the probability of the Sussexes moving out of the UK.
"It would be a disaster if Harry and Meghan quit and lived abroad – William and Kate would be devastated," he said.
In the documentary, Meghan Markle admitted to being unhappy and feeling vulnerable because of severe press scrutiny. "I never thought that this would be easy, but I thought it would be fair, and that's the part that's really hard to reconcile," she said.
"I really tried to adopt this British sensibility of a stiff upper lip. I tried, I really tried. But I think what that does internally is probably really damaging," she added.
We can only hope that Kate Middleton's words make a difference and the Sussexes lead a happy life!
