Kendall Jenner was reportedly humiliated by what happened in the recent Emmy Awards. As a result, a publication claims that she trying to avoid appearing with Kim Kardashian in public again.

The story came from the celebrity-focused Enquirer magazine, according to Gossip Cop. The publication printed an article titled “Kendall Won’t Stand By Kim!” which claimed that Jenner is planning to temporarily distance herself from Kardashian and the rest of the family.

Apparently, Jenner still hadn’t gotten over that awkward moment when she and her older sister presented the Competition Program award. “Our family knows firsthand how truly compelling television comes from real people, just being themselves,” Kardashian began her introduction but was met by laughter from some people in the audience.

Jenner was reportedly upset at the audience’s reaction. “Kendall has worked super hard to be taken seriously as a model and separate herself professionally from Kim and the rest of the family,” Enquirer quoted an unnamed source. “Now all that hard work has been erased.”

The magazine’s supposed source even hinted that Jenner blamed Kardashian for what happened. “I guarantee you won’t see Kendall with Kim at a public event for a long time,” the tipster revealed.

Gossip Cop, however, became tad suspicious, especially since the tipster is untraceable. So the fact-checking site contacted Jenner’s rep, who confirmed that Enquirer’s story is “so false.”

Gossip Cop also wrote that Jenner is not ashamed of any member of her famous family. Thus, the story’s claim that she’s trying to distance herself from them does not hold water. The Emmy Award incident is not a particularly big deal for her, and thus it’s not worth fretting over the issue.

Proof of Jenner’s stance as far as Kardashian or the Emmy incident is concerned can actually be found on the model’s social media account. She actually posted a pic of her and her sister on Instagram after they presented the award, which goes to show that she didn’t mind some laughter from the audience during their time on stage.

In fact, it’s probably Jenner's way of letting the world know that she attended the event with her sister. As Gossip Cop puts it, the tabloid is simply “attempting to create a major controversy” out of a minor issue.
