American rapper Kendrick Lamar is set to bring his Grand National Tour to Latin America this fall. The tour will feature five stadium shows across Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, and Chile, with Argentine music duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso as the opening act.
CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso aren't the first guests to perform with Lamar on his latest tour. Artists like Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, and Lizzo have all graced the stage with the California rapper in recent months. However, the Argentine duo has proven themselves to be legitimate up-and-coming stars in the music scene.
The duo, both from Buenos Aires, began collaborating in 2018 and quickly became one of the most talked-about acts in Latin America's urban music scene. Now, the Argentine artists are fresh off a record-breaking performance at the iconic Glastonbury music festival in England and the Coachella music festival in Los Angeles and set to tour their native continent with one of the biggest artists in the world.
CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso are now embarking on a tour with one of the biggest artists in the world. Their viral Tiny Desk Concert in October 2024, which has amassed over 38 million views, showcased their unique fusion of jazz-funk, electronic, reggaeton, EDM, and trap.
Lamar, whose latest album, 'GNX,' and Grammy award-winning diss track towards Drake broke Billboard records, is currently on a victory lap with his 'Grand National Tour.' American singer and frequent collaborator of Lamar's, SZA, has accompanied Lamar on the U.S. leg of the tour and will accompany him in Europe. They also performed together at the LIX Super Bowl halftime show.
The U.S. leg of the tour, which wrapped up in June, proved to be incredibly successful, grossing an overall total of $256.4 million and 1.1 million tickets, becoming one of the highest-grossing co-headliner tours of all time.
Tickets for the Latin American leg of the Grand National Tour are expected to go on sale soon. Argentine fans will have access to tickets at 10 am local time on July 1, and Colombia will be able to buy tickets three days later on July 4.
