Moscow could possibly wipe out Britain using a nuclear tsunami in retaliation for supporting Ukraine, as claimed by a Russian state television anchor on Sunday.

The primetime show "Channel One" anchor Dmitry Kiselyov believed a strike by Russia’s Poseidon nuclear underwater drone could affect Britain by drowning the country in a 500-meter tidal wave of radioactive seawater.

"The explosion of this thermonuclear torpedo by Britain’s coastline will cause a gigantic tsunami wave. Having passed over the British Isles, it will turn whatever might be left of them into a radioactive wasteland." Kiselyov, known as the tyrant’s propagandist-in-chief, told Russian state television that the country would first strike with its hypersonic missile known as Satan-2, which would be followed by an attack with its "underwater robot drone," known as Poseidon.

The threat emerged after Russian media stated that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson threatened the Kremlin with a nuclear strike. Kiselyov said on his Vesti Nedeli talk show, "What will happen after Boris Johnson's words about a retaliatory strike on Russia? Why do they threaten vast Russia with nuclear weapons while they are only a small island? The island is so small that one Sarmat missile is enough to drown it once and for all." Kiselyov said that the Russian missile Sarmat or known as Satan-2is the world's most powerful, it could destroy England in a single launch.

"Another option to plunge Britain into the depths of the sea is the Russian underwater robotic drone Poseidon. It approaches the target at a one kilometre depth with the speed of 200 kilometres per hour [125mph]. There is no way to stop this underwater drone. It has a warhead with a capacity of up to 100 megatons." He added, "The explosion of this thermonuclear torpedo close to Britain's shores will raise a giant wave, a tsunami, up to 500 metres [1,640ft] high." The tidal wave also brings high radiation which would permanently cause damage to Britain.

The Poseidon is described as a giant nuclear-capable torpedo. Specific details regarding the high-speed 125 mph underwater propulsion system of the atomic-powered underwater drone are considered top secret.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, the British Foreign Office said Russia is using a troll factory to escalate disinformation about war in Ukraine on social media such as Telegram and target politicians across several countries, spamming them with comments in favor of President Vladimir Putin. In the United Kingdom-funded expert research, it said the research exposed how the Kremlin's disinformation campaign was created to manipulate international public opinion of Russia's invasion of Ukraine to gather support and sympathy.

Moscow has firmly denied past accusations by Western countries of disinformation campaigns.
