Lady Gaga recently opened up about her insecurities. The “Poker Face” singer admitted that as a young girl, she never really felt beautiful.

The “A Star Is Born” actress graced the cover of Allure magazine’s October issue. On the front page of the publication, the singer channeled “Game Of Thrones” character Daenerys Targaryen.

Gaga sported platinum blonde hair, which was neatly tied to look like a ribbon at the back of her head. The singer also has thick eye makeup in the photo. In another photo, Gaga braided her blonde locks.

Inside the pages of the magazine, it was revealed that the makeup on the singer’s face was from her newly launched brand, Haus Laboratories. Gaga revealed that makeup means so much to her, that’s why she decided to launch her own range.

“I never felt beautiful, and I still have days that I don’t feel beautiful,” she said. “All of the insecurities that I’ve dealt with my whole life from being bullied when I was younger, they come right back up to bite me. Then I put makeup on, and before I know it, I feel this superhero within. It gives me those wings to fly,” she added.

Gaga also credited her love for makeup and said that this is the reason she became the famous “Lady Gaga” whom everyone knows and loves. “When I became Lady Gaga when I was younger, it was because I discovered makeup. It means so much to me on a deep visceral level — the power of makeup to change how you feel when you’re at your lowest,” she said.

The “Shallow” singer launched Haus Laboratories on July 9. The makeup selection is now available exclusively on Amazon and the Haus Labs website.

Gaga said that her goal for releasing her own makeup collection is to feel liberated and to make others feel the same way. “Whether they wear a ton of it, buy it — or don’t. I just want them to love the message,” she said. “It’s like just being excited that there’s a party going on down the street where everybody’s invited.”
