Ever since Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk broke up, rumors have started to emerge that the ex-couple’s relationship had been strained after he made the movie “A Star Is Born.” There are also claims that his bond with co-star Lady Gaga had greatly affected his girlfriend of four years and even worsened their issues.

Cooper reportedly became “emotionally absent” after doing the 2018 hit movie. “The rumors about Bradley and Gaga having a love affair didn’t help especially with his constant travels [promoting the film],” a source told People.

“He has a huge and overwhelming connection to Gaga, but whether it becomes a real love story in their lives for all the world to see is premature, and it’s difficult to speculate at this sensitive time," the insider added.

It has been repeatedly said that Lady Gaga had nothing to do with either Cooper and Shayk’s relationship or their split. The co-stars are only good friends, and nothing romantic happened between them during or after the movie’s production.

Earlier reports claimed that it would be impossible for Cooper and Lady Gaga to build a romance. Another source told the The Sun that there would be no way that the two would have a relationship now that he and Shayk broke up.

The tipster added that it is not Cooper’s style to instantly jump into a new relationship after his breakup with Shayk. With all the rumors surrounding the co-stars during “A Star Is Born,” he would never do it, claims the source.

Before they officially called it quits, Cooper and Shayk’s relationship is said to have already been on the rocks. A different source told Page Six that they tried to work things out for their two-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine, but to no avail.

At that time, things between the former couple were not good. Neither of them was happy, and their relationship was hanging by a thread.

The speculations about Cooper and Shayk’s strained relationship blew up when he became emotional during a duet with Lady Gaga at the Oscars in February. However, the Mother Monster already shot down the relationship rumors that surrounded their performance, saying that they were just telling a story and portraying their characters. She explained that people saw love because that was what they made them see.
