A homeless man in L.A. was killed by police officers on Sunday, according to reports. The LAPD have not yet released the man's name, age, or race. Witnesses claim that the man, street name "Africa," had an altercation with another person in his tent before police arrived.

In the video, the man presumed to be Africa swings punches, literally spinning while he avoids police caputure while simultaniously trying to strike officers. At least five LAPD officers are involved in the initial altercation. Two of them accidentally drop their night sticks. A female onlooker gets involved and picks up a night stick. She swings the stick half-heartedly at officers. Two officers leave Africa to apprehend the woman. Then, one returns to help subdue Africa. Another officer arrives on the scene. One officer points his gun at the subject. Ten seconds into the video, 6 officers are involved.

Four officers wrestle the man to the ground, and appear to repeatedly strike Africa in the face. One officer yells that the man is reaching for his gun. Then, 5 shots are quuickly fired into the man. Reportedly, wounds from these shots killed the man. The officers concerned with the woman retrieve their nightsticks and forcefull arrest her as she resists a cuffing.

In the video, which was posted on Facebook and YouTube on Sunday, bystanders confront officers after the shooting, asserting that the man was unarmed.
