Roberto Carlos, who has been crooning generations back-to-back for the past six decades, will be honored as "Person of the Year" at the 2015 Latin Grammys. The Brazilian singer and composer, responsible for chart-topping hits such as "Detalles," "Amada Amante," "Amigo," and "Lady Laura," is a four-time Latin GRAMMY winner and GRAMMY winner.

On November 18th ---the night before the 16th annual Latin Grammys award show air on Univision--- the romantic crooner's trajectory will be celebrated with a dinner and gala. As tradition holds, many artists will pay homage to Carlos at the star-studded pre-awards gala. Romeo Santos, Carlos Vives, Dionne Warwick and Alejandro Sanz, Jesse & Joy, Camila and Victor Manuelle have all been confirmed to perform for Brazil's top-selling artist of all time at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

According to the Latin Recording Academy, Roberto has been chosen as this year's recipient due to his important artistic and social contributions to Latin music and culture. "To speak of Brazil is to speak of Roberto Carlos," said Gabriel Abaroa Jr., President/CEO of The Latin Recording Academy®. "It is with great pride that we honor such a musical treasure and we look forward to celebrating his career and his indelible musical legacy," he added.

The 74-year-old singer joins past "Person of the Year" award recipients such as Miguel Bosé, Plácido Domingo, Gloria Estefan, Vicente Fernández, Juan Luis Guerra, Carlos Santana, Joan Manuel Serrat, Shakira, and Caetano Veloso, among others.
