'Legend of Zelda' for Wii U is coming along nicely production wise, but fans should not expect a 2014 release date.

There is not a lot of information circulating about "Legend of Zelda" for Wii U but what we do know is the game's creators want players to feel the same emotions they felt playing "Skyrim."

"Obviously I play other games, and I'm curious what "Zelda" fans like about the "Skyrim" experience. Maybe there are some "Zelda" fans who are looking for something similar out of a "Zelda" game," game producer Eiji Aonuma told Eurogamer.

One thing we do know about "Legend of Zelda" for Wii U is that it is far enough along the game's creators almost unveiled a preview at this year's E3.

Series creator Shigeru Miyamoto told gameinformer.com that the "Legend of Zelda" creators decided to hold back on a preview just a little longer while the game's production moves further along.

"We're also working on a new Wii U "Zelda" game. Work on that is progressing fairly concretely. In fact, we were thinking about showing it here at E3 but decided to wait just a little bit longer before sharing it with everyone."

Idigitaltimes.com is speculating that the "Legend of Zelda" Wii U game will have a "much larger world, with more stuff it in." The gaming site suggests this new world will be broader and less contained. They say it would be a "giant step forward for the game," if the "Zelda" universe is open and more "aesthetic."

Idigitaltimes.com also speculates that the official "Legend of Zelda" Wii U release date won't be until the 2015 holiday season. Idigitaltimes.com suggests:

That's because Smash Bros is guaranteed to be the killer app for 2014, a game with the kind of crossover appeal that even something like Halo 5 or Destiny lacks. And it makes it somewhat more likely that the Legend of Zelda Wii U release date won't even be in 2014. It pains me to say it, but I'm pegging this one for holiday 2015. Look at Skyward Sword, look at Twilight Princess. Both were delayed by over a year from their original release dates, and that's after extremely long development times as well.
