Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has accused Attorney General Pam Bondi of orchestrating a cover-up of the Jeffrey Epstein case files, signaling a sharp break from his usual alignment with the Trump administration.
Since the death of Epstein in 2019 while awaiting federal sex trafficking charges, questions around the extent of his crimes, high-profile associates, and sealed evidence have fueled widespread speculation.
In February 2025, Bondi released a limited batch of Epstein-related documents, promising more transparency to come. The delay in further releases has drawn criticism from both political opponents and fringe commentators.
In a recent episode of his show, Jones alleged that Bondi is deliberately "covering up" the full extent of the Epstein files. He claimed the FBI has uncovered disturbing evidence of child torture and that Bondi, acting as part of a broader "deep state" effort, is helping block their release.

Jones went so far as to name former FBI Director James Comey as orchestrating an internal coup to keep the files hidden. Additionally, he claimed that "the White House already knows" of the alleged conspiracy.
Jones' accusations have sparked backlash and confusion, even among his supporters, as he appeared to turn on figures within Trump's inner circle. Bondi has not responded publicly to the claims, which come just days after she cited "tens of thousands" of videos as the reason for delays in the Epstein file review.
The White House has maintained that it supports the full release of Epstein-related documents.
