A man, Mohammed Shiraz Riaz, traveling by RyanAir asked for more alcohol after consuming four drinks. When he didn't get it, he started hurling abuse at cabin crew member Jelena Zuravska.

The 40-year-old tried to humiliate the woman by shouting "who f***ed your mother" and called her "fat stewardess white b****," reported Liverpool Echo.

The woman got so scared that she slipped a note under the cockpit door asking the captain to call the police to meet them at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

He got so aggressive that other passengers on the two-hour flight from Marrakesh to Liverpool had to be moved away from him. While some offered help to the woman, one threatened to punch Riaz.

Riaz was supposed to face a trial at Wirral Magistrates' Court last week, but he didn't turn up as he had to self isolate. Despite his absence, the trial went ahead.

Zuravska confirmed that she was the cabin crew supervisor on the flight on July 15, 2019. Recalling the incident, she said that Riaz sat in the front row of the plane and started the conversation on a "friendly" note asking for four Jack Daniels with Coke and a sandwich, which Zuravska served him.

When he asked for another drink she said that she was busy and as Riaz went to the toilet he was "talking to himself" and was heard to mutter "f---ing fat b**** stewardess." Zuravska said, "I remained professional and suggested that he sat down and have something to eat. At this point I made the decision not to serve him any more alcohol, I didn't want to make the situation any worse."

Riaz sat down for a while but was "persistently" asking for more alcohol. She said, "I said no and he became more aggressive and loud. He started verbally attacking me personally, saying 'who f***ed your mother fat stewardess white b****."

"I tried to remain as calm as I could and be professional for the safety of the other passengers. I just felt he was trying to provoke me." She said, "He seemed to have a real hatred towards women. As he became more aggressive towards me and more vocal, other passengers stepped in to tried and calm the situation. "One even wanted to punch him on my behalf."

PC Michael Ireland said that when the doors of the plane opened he could see Zurvaska "clearly upset" with Riaz "standing behind her holding a black holdall." He said, "He came down the steps, presented his wrists and said 'you may as well handcuff me now.'"

PC Ireland said that Riaz claimed, "I've done f*** all wrong that fat b**** has called you to make me look stupid."

The court heard that as there was no cage in the back of the car so, PC Ireland sat next to Riaz who "bounced backwards and forward." When Ireland tried to restrain him, Riaz bit his arm.

Riaz, of Kaye Street, Heckmondwike in West Yorkshire, was charged with being drunk in a plane and assaulting an emergency worker and was found guilty in his absence. A warrant for Riaz's arrest was issued.

In another mid-flight incident, a woman allegedly assaulted a flight attendant during an American Airlines flight from Miami to New York City. In a statement, American Airlines said that that "a customer who refused to comply with the federal face mask requirement assaulted a crew member while in flight."

"Violence of any kind is not tolerated by American," said the statement, CNN reported last week.
