Many would not believe that "Modern Family" babe Sofía Vergara is the mother of a 21-year-old boy ... but she is! The 40-year-old actress talked about her son, Manolo Vergara, while promoting her upcoming film, "Escape From Planet Earth," and just because her son is an adult ... doesn't mean that she has stopped worrying about him!
"I am a working mom, and my son is still my son," MSN Wonderwall reveals Vergara said of Manolo. "As a mom, you never stop worrying."
So, why does Vergara worry about her son?
"Now my worries are: Don't get into a car with anyone who is driving drunk," she explained. "Don't be stupid. When he is in New York on his own, don't walk down a back alley. Use your head. Don't go alone on the train at three in the morning. Stupid things like that."
As for Manolo, Vergara told OK Magazine in October that he worries about his mom being called his sister ... or worse his girlfriend.
"I love that!" Vergara said of Manolo being called her boyfriend or brother. "But he hates it if I'm with him and someone says, 'Oh tell your sister to come,' and I don't correct them. He's like, 'Tell them you're my mom!' But I don't."
