Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene took aim at the Secret Service following a report that linked her to a standoff between protesters and President Donald Trump in September, saying that the White House is "mad" at her for "telling the truth about the President and forcing the release of the Epstein files."

In a lengthy social media publication, Greene addressed a report from Axios detailing that the White House told the Secret Service that the now former Rep.may have tipped off anti-war activists of a pop-in from President Donald Trump's, leading to a public confrontation.

The outlet recalled that the incident in question took place in September when Trump visited Joe's Seafood, a D.C. restaurant she had recommended. It led to a confrontation with Code Pink activists who, according to the outlet, embarrassed Trump and rose questions about his safety, considering protesters got within a few feet of him. "Free DC.! Free Palestine! Trump is the Hitler of our time!" they yelled at him.

The Secret Service investigated the possibility based on two factors: one is that, according to officials, Greene repeatedly called White House staffers to confirm Trump would go to the restaurant she had recommended. Trump later confirmed to her that he would go but Greene didn't show up, which struck some aides as odd.

Greene rejected the notion, saying that "Code Pink was in the restaurant because the WH and Secret Service did NOT sweep Joe's, did NOT set up metal detectors and check everyone in the restaurant, and did not do any of their normal security protocols that they do at every public event he attends!!!"

"Only the WH set up President Trump's reservation at Joe's, NOT ME!! I had ZERO knowledge of when his reservation was! The only people who could have tipped off Code Pink was the restaurant or the WH! And AGAIN, why didn't Secret Service secure the restaurant BEFORE he went in????????" she added.

Greene went on to say that the incident took place in September, when she had a "great relationship" with Trump and before the president "attacked" her and called her a "traitor."

"And even now, I would NEVER do what they are accusing me of! I would NEVER EVER do anything to endanger anyone!!!" Greene said, adding that she'll be calling an attorney about the matter.

Elsewhere in the post she rejected having a relationship with Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin, saying she doesn't have her phone number nor has any contact with her. "She used to stop by my office as she stops by every office on Capitol hill," she said.

"The story you should be writing is why didn't secret service sweep the restaurant??? Why didn't they set up metal detectors and check every person at the door like they do at every single public event he attends??? Why aren't you asking the White House those questions??? And why did the President's team allow that to happen only a year after he was shot in Butler, PA??? Who at the restaurant could have leaked his reservation??? Only the WH and Joe's had knowledge of the reservation!! This is a dangerous false accusation against me that is 100% false and you and Axios should never publish such a horrific lie!!!" she concluded.
