Rapper Megan Thee Stallion told jurors in a Los Angeles courtroom Tuesday that fellow rapper Tory Lanez fired five shots at her feet more than two years ago.

According to the Los Angeles Times, she testified Tuesday, “I’m in shock, and I’m scared." She recalled hearing the gun going off, and "I can’t believe he is shooting at me.”

Her testimony came on the second day of the 30-year-old Canadian rapper Lanez's trial. The rapper, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson, denied multiple gun and assault charges in connection with a dispute with her, reported BBC. Megan, who walked into the courtroom wearing a purple suit with heavy security late Tuesday morning, was surrounded by her supporters. The 27-year-old said at the beginning of questioning from Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta that she didn't feel good. She said that she couldn't believe she had come to the court and "do this.”

Talking about the July 12, 2020 incident, Megan said that she left a party at the Hollywood Hills house of reality TV star Kylie Jenner in an SUV. Lanez, his bodyguard and her friend Kelsey Harris had accompanied her. She said that she and Lanez had become close. They bonded over the loss of their mothers, and had an occasionally sexual relationship.

Harris, who had a “crush” on Lanez, tried to cause trouble between the women by telling Megan that she needed to stop lying to her friend. Megan said that the argument spiraled out of control. It became even more heated when she and Lanez started slamming each other’s music and careers. She said that she felt like that "really rubbed him the wrong way,” and he "kept yelling and cursing.”

She said that she was wearing a bikini, but got out of the vehicle and tried to walk away. Then Lanez leaned out and opened fire, she testified. It left the back of her feet wounded, and at one point, he yelled “Dance, b****!” She said that she looked down at her feet, and saw "all the blood." Then everybody was screaming, and he and her friend "looked shocked."

George Mgdesyan, Lanez’s attorney, said in his opening statement that her injury showed that she could not have gotten a clear look at the shooter behind her. He added that he would present more evidence that countered her story during the trial.

Lanez arrived at court holding his young son’s hand, and carried the boy out of the courthouse at lunch break and at the end of the day, reported the Associated Press. Lanez could get more than 22 years in jail if he is convicted on all counts, and he could also be deported to his native Canada.
