Meghan Markle Abandoned Her Own Family And Now, The Royal Family

The Good Morning British Presenter Piers Morgan has expressed his dislike of Meghan Markle openly following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s announcement on January 8th, 2020, that they will be stepping down as “senior” royals and have resigned from their official duties. According to Piers Morgan, it is Meghan Markle who has divided the Royal family and alienated Prince Harry from Prince William.

Recently, the couple had been on a vacation for weeks in Canada, taking an extended break from their Royal duties and had even spent Christmas and Thanksgiving away from the Royal Family in Canada. This vacation followed a rather controversial ITV documentary where the couple spoke at length about the perils and pressures of being a royal member.

They took to their official Instagram account to make the announcement of their stepping down as “senior” Royal members. They wrote:

"After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as “senior” members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment.”

“We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honor our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages,” they added. “This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity.”

Whatever reasons the couple had behind their decision, according to Piers Morgan, it is Meghan Markle who has destroyed yet another relationship.

He tweeted: “People say I'm too critical of Meghan Markle - but she ditched her family, ditched her Dad, ditched most of her old friends, split Harry from William & has now split him from the Royal Family. I rest my case.”

He even commented on the tweets of other celebrities supporting Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in their decision. He called out the couple for committing “spiteful treachery”, “breaking up the Royal Family after fleecing the public purse”, and accused the Duchess of driving a wedge between Harry and Prince William.
