More than 70,000 job openings are now available across Mexico for repatriated citizens, as part of the joint government and private sector initiative "México te abraza" (Mexico Embraces You). According to a new report by the Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (CCE), over 381 companies are offering 70,558 positions nationwide, marking a significant expansion of efforts to facilitate the reintegration of deported Mexicans into the national workforce.

The Mexican government has reported more than 38,000 deported nationals since January 20, following the return of President Donald Trump to the White House.

The jobs are concentrated primarily in ten states: Nuevo León (10,092), Mexico City (8,147), Jalisco (5,418), Estado de México (5,105), Baja California (3,386), Guanajuato (3,323), Querétaro (3,138), Coahuila (3,122), San Luis Potosí (2,515), and Puebla (2,323).

Francisco Cervantes Díaz, president of the CCE, said through a statement by the organization that the milestone reflects "the firm commitment of the private sector to generate opportunities for Mexicans." He added:

"We deeply thank the private sector for its solidarity, social responsibility, and long-term vision in placing people's well-being at the center of its agenda. We also acknowledge the support and coordination of the Ministry of the Interior, whose participation has been key in making this effort a model of collaboration for the benefit of all Mexicans"

Initially designed for Mexican nationals deported from the United States, numbering over 38,000 since January 20, 2025, following the return of President Donald Trump to office, the job opportunities are now open to anyone seeking employment. The salary range varies by position. According a new report by local outlet Milenio, operational roles offer monthly wages between 8,480 and 16,860 pesos, while technical positions offer between 16,000 and 32,000 pesos and professional roles can exceed 40,000 pesos per month.

The initiative includes major companies such as FEMSA, Bimbo, GEPP, Cemex, Walmart, Coppel, Lala, Bayer, Grupo Carso, Iconn, Xignux, and Grupo Posadas. Roberto Campa, Director of Corporate Affairs at FEMSA, acknowledged through the aforementioned statement by CCE, the solidarity of the participating companies in placing people's well-being at the center of their agenda:

"At FEMSA, we are convinced that opening doors to employment is one of the most powerful ways to transform lives. We are honored to be part of this collective effort, which now goes beyond repatriated citizens and extends to all people seeking an opportunity"
