A shooting has been reported at New Jersey's Gaden Sate Plaza. News12 New Jersey reports that witnesses reported gunfire from inside the Paramus shopping mall just after 9 p.m. on Monday. Police are searching for the gunman who fired several shots inside the Garden State Plaza. Authorities have not released any information on any injuries. According to CNN, there were at least 10 shots fired. There is currently a heavy police presence at the shopping mall.

Garden State Plaza is one of the largest shopping centers in the New York City area. The entire mall is on lock down as police and SWAT teams have been deployed. In a Tweet, Ocean City PD stated "Mult Agencies operating at the Garden State Plaza Mall in Paramus (Bergen County) with an active shooter reported and shots fired." According to NBC, witnesses have reported a suspect dressed in black carrying a shotgun inside the shopping mall. Shots were heard soon after.

Westfield Garden State Plaza is located at the intersection of Route 4 and Route 17 near the Garden State Parkway. It includes over 200 stores and 50 restaurants. There are still no reports of injuries.
