Hockey fans will be able to get their pre-season fix with 22 games set to air a month prior to the season's start. NHL Network announced its lineup earlier this month, with the first game airing Sept. 14. The games will air until the 28 before the season kicks off Oct. 1. The games, however, will not be productions of the Network, but rather streams from regional sports networks and feeds from the CBC. There will be five double-headers and one triple-header to round off the pre-season before the league kicks into gear and begins its race toward the Stanley Cup.
Vancouver Canucks fans will reap the benefits of pre-seasons broadcasts more than any other team, with six of their preason games airing on the network. The list has not yet been finalized as NBC Sports Network typically throws in some extra games to its lineup. Fans will also get the chance to revel in the highly talked about Frozen Fury, in which the Los Angeles Kings face two teams at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Only one of its matches will air on television, in which they face off against the New York Rangers. Below is a list of schedules games and their air times. As for the unlisted bouts, fans may have to rely on their respective radio broadcasts and live streams to keep up with their teams as they approach the start of the season.
