A man from Virginia is facing multiple charges after persuading a 12-year-old girl to send him lewd photos and eventually kidnap her from her home. The man was identified as Nathan Daniel Larson, a 40-year-old who is now at the Denver County Jail.

According to an official statement issued by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, Larson operated a website that encourages the raping of children. Aside from that, the site also shares naked photos and videos of children being raped.

Larson is set to appear at the Denver County Court on Dec. 24. He is facing misdemeanor charges for harboring a minor. Aside from that, the 40-year-old is also facing felony charges for kidnapping, child abduction, soliciting child pornography from a minor and meeting a child for the intention of sex, CNN reported.

"Due to the sophisticated nature of how Larson groomed this Fresno girl, detectives believe he has victimized other children in the past," the sheriff's office said.

Larson met the unnamed 12-year-old on social media in October. He reportedly spent two months of manipulation and grooming that resulted in him successfully convincing the girl to send him pornographic images of herself.

The 40-year-old flew to Fresno last week and convince the girl to sneak out of her home at around 2:00 a.m. on Monday. He used a rideshare company to take the girl to the airport. To get her through, Larson made the girl wear a long wig and told her to act as if she were disabled and unable to speak as they boarded the plane.

Authorities were notified late Monday morning that the girl was missing. Detectives found out that Larson and the girl boarded the plane to Washington DC with a layover in Denver. Local authorities were able to get hold of local authorities in Denver. Detectives and FBI agents were able to apprehend the 40-year-old and the unharmed girl.

Larson has a criminal record and served 14 months in federal prison in 2009. This resulted after he sent a detailed email to the U.S. Secret Service threatening that he would kill the President of the United States.

Larson sent the email in December 2008, when George Bush was the outgoing president and Barack Obama was the president-elect.

After getting out of prison, Larson even tried to run for the Virginia House of Delegates in 2017. He ran independently and lost.
