Becky G can kill it on stage with her powerhouse vocals and bombastic dance moves ---you don't have to tell us twice! But it's also a known fact that she's a great actress! All eyes have been set on the 18-year-old artist, especially after her sensual debut role as Valentina Galindo in "Empire's" season two. Though she has a TV and film resume that goes back to 2008, her appearance on the popular FOX series is the perfect place to flaunt her second passion. Everyone is impressed with her on-point acting skills, including film director Dean Israelite, who has casted Becky in the new "Power Rangers" movie.

The Mexican-American star is the last ranger to be added to the star-studded cast. She'll be starring alongside RJ Cyler (Blue Ranger), Naomi Scott (Pink Ranger), Ludi Lin (Black Ranger) and newcomer Dacre Montgomery (Red Ranger) in the Lionsgate project.

The upcoming film, which is expected to premiere on January 13, 2017, is a reboot of the iconic 1990s TV series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "the action movie will follow a group of teenagers who must harness their unique superpowers and use those powers as a color-coordinated team in order to save the world."

The announcement was revealed on the movie's official social media accounts: "It’s morphin time! @iambeckyg is suiting up as the #YellowRanger in the #PowerRangers Movie!" Meanwhile, the Latina songstress also expressed her excitement, letting her Beasters know that she's a Power Ranger. "My favorite color is yellow. It's like it was meant to be," she wrote on Twitter.
