A Grayson County, North Texas sex predator has been nabbed by law enforcement after he allegedly preyed on an 8-year-old child, offering to pay her $800 an hour for sex, the Collin County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) announced on Wednesday.

The suspect, Dorian Frost, 27, now faces a felony charge of the promotion of prostitution of a person younger than 18 years of age, Fox News reported.

Authorities say Frost contacted deputy sheriffs working undercover online as part of the Collin County Sheriff’s Office Child Exploitation Unit, negotiating for an $800 an hour prostitution payment for an eight-year-old child. He reportedly used several methods in a futile attempt to mask his identity and remain anonymous online.

CCSO investigators, however, managed to identify the predator and track his location shortly after. It led to his subsequent arrest at his Grayson County residence north of Dallas.

Frost is now booked at a local jail on a $350,000 bond.

"This arrest illustrates how despicable and depraved that those involved in human trafficking are," Sheriff Jim Skinner said in a statement. "This case is a prime example of why the Child Exploitation Unit was created. I’m very proud of the combined effort of CEU and our law enforcement partners for bringing Frost to justice."

The Texas Department of Public Safety, Homeland Security Investigations, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Sherman Police Department, worked closely with the CCSO to clamp down on Frost's predatory activities, the Charlotte Observer noted.

The Department of Homeland Security has set up a national public awareness campaign called the Blue Campaign, aiming to educate the public, police, and other industry partners, thus, making it easier to recognize the indicators of human trafficking.

The initiative works hand in hand with DHS Components to establish general awareness through training and learning materials for law enforcement, the public, and advocates, allowing increased detection of human trafficking and identification of thousands of hidden abuse victims and survivors.

It also teaches stakeholders how to appropriately respond to the possible risks of human trafficking.

According to Homeland Security Today, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has recently launched the Victims Engagement and Services Line (VESL) in June, which will include guidance on available resources and information about the Blue Campaign to demolish any human trafficking activities on U.S. soil.
