A recent survey conducted by the Associated Press and the NORC Centre for Public Affairs Research shed light on a rather shocking reveal: Approximately 8 in 10 Americans have reportedly lost faith in the current state of affairs, and believe that the U.S. is headed in the wrong direction.

While the United States of America logged in 1000 fresh COVID-19 related deaths for five days straight, Trump Administration continues to be unperturbed by the grim reality. White House economist Larry Kudlow refused to believe that the U.S. was grappling under an economic downtown, despite the country having recorded 11 percent unemployment.

The latest round of poll numbers doesn’t look convincing either. Trump is clearly losing ground to political rival Joe Biden in several key battleground states.

Just for the record, Trump had a great weekend at Bedminster, New Jersey resort as he spent quality time with controversial ex-NFL quarterback Brett Favre before raising a toast to potential donors at an evening fundraiser in regards to his re-election campaign on Saturday. Trump followed it up with a Twitter brag of sorts about the weekend that was.

Black Lives Matter protesters are up in arms as elected officials decreed the withdrawal of agents from the cities that have witnessed over days of protests against police brutality after the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody sent shockwaves across the globe.

Trump has also been in the eye of the storm ever since he began to propagate the benefits of hydroxychloroquine as a cure against COVID-19. The president drew the wrath of health officials worldwide who asserted that the scientifically unbacked anti-malarial drug could evoke cardiac complications.

The president, who has criticized China for an alleged cover-up in registering the pandemic, recently stated that he had no issues working with the South Asian superpower if the country were to develop a successful vaccine.
