Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their bundle of joy, much like their fans the world over. And now, speculations are rife that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are dropping major hints about what their unborn daughter’s name could be.

As cited in recent reports, Meghan had visited the town of Birkenhead in 2019 with Harry, and ended up getting name suggestions from a group of school children. In a fun conversation with a 7-year-old girl named Megan Dudley, the former “Suits” actor learned that Amy was a really pretty pick, as suggested by the young student.

“I asked her whether she would call her baby Amy if she has a girl, and she said, 'That's a really pretty name, I like it. We'll have to think about it’,” said Meghan in an old interview, according to ET Canada. In a similar instance, Harry struck up a conversation with a mother during the same event, and asked her how she spelled her daughter’s flower-inspired name.

Fast forward to the year 2021—and the Sussexes are back on a baby name hunt, again. Given how the couple has been through a lot in the recent past, compounded by the passing of Harry’s grandpa Prince Philip; grapevine has it that a name that honors the longest-serving consort could be a possibility.

What's more, a U.K. gambling site Ladbrokes recorded the name 'Philippa' grow as a popular prediction for Meghan and Harry's daughter. Last month, they slashed the betting odds on the name to 3/1, as reported by PEOPLE. “The support for baby Philippa is showing no signs of slowing down, and we've been forced to trim the odds again that it's the name for Harry and Meghan's daughter,” said Jessica O'Reilly of Ladbrokes, in the report.

If the predictions turn out to be true, Harry and Meghan will join the Duke’s cousins—Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall—among those who’ve paid tribute to their grandfather by adding Philip as the middle names of their new-born sons.

Rumors have it that Diana—Harry’s late mother and the iconic Princess of Wales—is another name the couple might consider. Elizabeth, which happens to be the Queen’s name is another name prediction that made it to the top of the leader board on 5/1 and 10/1.

But, given how the Sussexes have always surprised fans, it's only justifiable to expect the unexpected. The couple revealed the gender of their second child at Oprah Winfrey’s show, which was aired on CBS earlier in March. “To have a boy then a girl — what more can you ask for?” said Harry on the show. “Grateful, having any child, any one or a two would have been amazing, but to have a boy and then a girl . . . now we've got our family and we've got four of us.”
