From Prince William To Prince Harry, Here Are Royals And Their Lookalike Relatives

It’s normal for relatives to look similar — they share the same genetic lineage after all. But there are some photos of Prince William, Prince Harry and Princess Charlotte that are so uncannily similar to the pictures of their older royal relatives that were taken when they were around the same age that it's hard to tell them apart.

Prince William And Prince Edward

These days, it’s hard to spot the similarity between William and his uncle Prince Edward, Prince Charles’ youngest sibling. But there was a photo of Edward taken back in 1982, which makes him 22 years old at that time, that HuffPost placed beside a photo of a nineteen-year-old William taken in 1999. The two dashing princes looked very similar indeed, especially since the photographers captured the royals wearing similar expressions.

Fans might say that the heir apparent and the second in line to the throne are supposed to look similar since they are a father and son pair. But any royal family fan can easily spot that Prince Charles looks markedly different from his son, Prince William, these days.

However, a bearded William actually looks very similar to Charles back when the latter briefly tried the bearded look in 1976. Thankfully, it was captured on film, so people can really conclude that a young bearded Charles looks almost the same as a bearded William.

Prince Harry And Prince Philip

Many would probably say that Prince Harry took after her mother, Princess Diana, because of his red hair, which is considered to be a Spencer family trait. But what people might not realize is that there’s also something distinctly Mountbatten in the Duke of Sussex as well.

If one compares a photo of Harry wearing his military uniform against a photo of a young Prince Philip also in his navy uniform, one can see that they really look uncannily similar. They both have the same thin lips, strong brow, slender nose and piercing eyes.

Princess Charlotte And Queen Elizabeth II

They may be separated by a couple of generations apart, but the Queen, when she was young, looks very similar to her great-granddaughter Princess Charlotte. Hello Magazine posted an old black-and-white photo (there were no colored ones back then) of the monarch when she was still a little child and placed it beside a photo of Prince William’s four-year-old daughter, and they look almost the same.

It’s easy to see that little Charlotte has her Gan-Gan’s facial shape. The two also share the same jawline, nose and those unmistakable almond-shaped eyes.

Princess Charlotte And Princess Diana

Princess Charlotte has been likened to Queen Elizabeth II, but fans should not forget that there is also Spencer blood running through her veins. In fact, many feel that Prince William’s daughter looks just like her grandmother, Princess Diana.

It became even more apparent in 2018, when William and Kate released their family Christmas card. It showed the then three-year-old Charlotte, which fans compared to a photo of Diana that was taken when she was still a young child.

The photo was taken in July 1970 on her ninth birthday. Fans quickly spotted their similarities, such as their slender lips, their eyes, as well as their cute noses. They look quite similar that their photos could be mistaken for the other.
