Hectic times lie ahead for Princess Beatrice. However, this royal is, reportedly, not a designer’s delight.

The daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York’s wedding requests aren’t being entertained by elitist designers. “At this point, rather embarrassingly, the response has been lukewarm and it looks like she might have to actually pay and design it for herself,” said a royal insider to a Hollywood portal.

While the princess was over the moon when Edoardo proposed to her, a series of events left her devastated— from Prince Andrew being embroiled in a sex scandal to the awkward silence on the designers’ end in response to her wedding requests.

What’s adding to the stress is the fact that Beatrice is aware of the comparisons that will follow. The duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex had a bevy of a-list designers pining for the opportunity to design their wedding dresses.

Princess Beatrice pales in comparison in terms of popularity. Givenchy designer Clare Waight Keller stepped in to take charge of Meghan Markle's wedding attire while Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen designed Kate Middleton's gown. British fashion designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos handled Princess Eugenie's wedding look. Whereas in Beatrice’s case, she’s literally faced with no takers for designing her wedding dress.

There’s further trouble awaiting the Princess, as her father Prince Andrew has been ousted from royal engagements. The murky sex scandal shook palace insiders to the extent that the Duke of York has allegedly been “banned” from the wedding. “In a heart-breaking phone call, she tearfully told Andrew she that she didn’t want him walking her down the aisle or at her wedding,” the source said.

Prince Andrew is, currently, battling a sex controversy, where it is alleged that the Prince indulged in sexual intercourse with an underage sex slave of deceased billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. Virginia Roberts, the underaged sex slave, has been giving out shocking statements about her encounter with Prince Andrew to the press.

Given how there have been reports about the Princess harboring a love for lace, it has been speculated that Beatrice could probably look up to her namesake, Queen Victoria’s youngest daughter, for sartorial inspiration— and zero in on a Honiton lace number for her low-key wedding.
