After a very successful run in Mexico, Televisa’s “Qué Pobres tan Ricos” is coming to an end. For the special finale, producer Rosy Ocampo made sure to cast a special surprise that will delight the ladies’ eyes. Gabriel Soto will be joining the final episode appearing as himself. But why couldn’t he be appointed a specific character? If you are on Univision’s time and don’t want any spoilers, we recommend you stop reading right now. However, if you want a little sneak peek into the future of this telenovela, carry on, but don’t complain that we didn’t warn you!

After losing all their fortune, the Ruizpalacios family, led by Miguel Angel (Jaime Camil), finally manages to come out of their mishap and after a lot of obstacles, are ready to open up their restaurant. To mark the occasion, Gabriel Soto will be the guest of honor. “It’s going to be very funny. Acting like yourself is very weird, you’re not used to it,” Soto said about his special appearance. “But the truth is that it’s going to be good. I was invited to the opening of a new restaurant, and us actors are usually hired to do these types of things, it could also be a good advertising for myself,” he added.

“I’m very happy and thankful to Rosy Ocampo. I love her so much and she’s helped me in numerous times throughout my career. She gave me an amazing opportunity when we did ‘La Fuerza del Destino’ and now she invited me to have a small part, but very important nonetheless,” Soto continued. He insisted he was very happy to be there and enjoyed very much to get together again with some of his colleagues like Zuria Vega, Jaime Camil and Manuel “El Flaco” Ibáñez.

“Qué Pobres tan Ricos” began its successful run on Nov. 11, 2013, and will come to an end on June 29, 2014 on Televisa.
