Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have only seen each other twice in the last three months. This is reportedly amid the crisis that has gripped the royal family since August of this year.

According to reports, one of the reasons Queen Elizabeth does not have time to see the Duke of Edinburgh is the crisis over Prince Andrew. The Queen has reportedly been busy dealing with the crises besetting their family in recent months, causing her to have less to no time for her husband.

Since Prince Philip has already retired from his royal duties, Queen Elizabeth reportedly does not want him to get involved in the issues currently faced by the royal family. Despite that, the past several months have reportedly been tough for the Queen as she misses Prince Philip a lot.

The 93-year-old monarch has remained devoted to her royal duties despite her age. Sadly, she does everything at the expense of her own family, including her husband, Prince Philip. The Queen reportedly misses Prince Philip’s steady hand at the tiller alongside her since he retired from his public duties in 2017. However, she believes that it is best to leave him out of everything that their family is going through right now.

“I’m sure it’s been good for his health not to be there getting involved in the day-to-day stresses and strains but I think the Queen has missed his hands-on approach to family matters,” a royal insider said. “He might have been a much stronger voice advising Andrew if he had been around more,” he added.

It is no secret to royal followers that this year has been a tough year for the royal family. Following reports of feud involving the Fab Four—Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince Andrew was embroiled in a massive controversy linking him to convicted multi-billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

As of now, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge still seem to be at odds with each other and it looks like Prince Harry does not have plans of straightening things out with his brother anytime soon. Meanwhile, Prince Andrew recently came under fire after expressing no remorse over his friendship with Epstein.
