There’s no denying “Queen of the South” has everyone glued to their screens. In last week’s episode, Camila, needing product after Epifanio’s betrayal, sends Teresa and James on a critical drug run that ends in disaster. Riddled with debt and short on supply, Camila considers giving Teresa up. In this week’s episode, “El Hombre Pájaro,” airing on Thursday at 10pm, Teresa’s desire to escape grows with an opportunity to get papers.

Meanwhile, Camila, desperate for product as “The Birdman” encroaches further on her territory, taps into her last cash reserves to make a critical drug buy and sends Teresa and James out on a midnight mission to deliver $5 million in cash. Brenda, pressured by the dwindling supply of cocaine in town, makes a decision that puts her crew at grave risk.

“Queen of the South” tells the powerful story of Teresa Mendoza, a woman who is forced to run and seek refuge in America after her drug-dealing boyfriend is unexpectedly murdered in Mexico. In the process, she teams with an unlikely figure from her past to bring down the leader of the very drug trafficking ring that has her on the run.

Starring Alice Braga ("City of God") as Teresa, the original drama series is based on the global best-selling novel "La Reina Del Sur," by internationally acclaimed author Arturo Pérez-Reverte . The literary page-turner also yielded one of the most popular super series of all time for USA's sister network, Telemundo.

“Queen of the South” also stars Veronica Falcón ("Besos de Azúcar") as Camila Vargas, Justina Machado ("Six Feet Under") as Brenda Parra, Peter Gadiot ("Tut") as James Valdez, Hemky Madera ("Weeds") as Pote Galvez and Gerardo Taracena ("Apocalypto") as Cesar "Batman" Guemes. Guest stars include Joaquim de Almeida ("Our Brand is Crisis"), Jon Ecker ("Narcos") and James Martinez ("Breaking Bad").
