The British National Archives released a 30-year-old speech written for Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen's speech was most likely never seen by the monarch and was part of a military game exercise preparing for the outbreak of nuclear war or WWIII.

In the Queen's WWIII speech she talks about the new kind of enemy her people would be facing. The Queen's speech says "The enemy is not the soldier with his rifle nor even the airman prowling the skies above our cities and towns but the deadly power of abused technology."

The Queen's speech takes a personal tone as it mentions Elizabeth II's father King George VI and her son Prince Andrew. The Queen's father made a famous speech at the start of WWII and Prince Andrew a member of the British Navy when the speech was written, would have been called to fight had a war actually broken out.

Excerpts from the speech the Queen never read, "The horrors of war could not have seemed more remote as my family and I shared our Christmas joy with the growing family of the Commonwealth."

"Now, this madness of war is once more spreading through the world, and our brave country must again prepare itself to survive against great odds."

"I have never forgotten the sorrow and the pride I felt as my sister and I huddled around the nursery wireless set listening to my father's inspiring words on that fateful day in 1939."

"Not for a single moment did I imagine that this solemn and awful duty would one day fall to me."

In the speech that the Queen likely never read she urges her people to stay calm and pray as they "prepare to survive against great odds." The Queen would have concluded by saying "As we strive together to fight off a new evil, let us pray for our country and men of goodwill, wherever they may be. God bless you all."

The Queen's WWIII speech was released Thursday under Britain's 30-year-rule. The speech was written in 1983 by White Hall palace during one of the more tension filled periods of the Cold War.
