Queretaro faces Pachuca tonight at 7:30 p.m. Reuters

Tonight, in Week 17 of Clausura 2014, Querétaro will take on Pachuca in the last week before playoffs. Both teams look to win so they can get one of five tickets that remain for playoffs. This game will be played in Estadio Corregidora. Gallos Blancos will try to take advantage of the fact that they are the home team and take away Pachuca’s spot in the standings.

Querétaro lead by Ignacio Ambriz will try to extend their streak to five games without a loss, three of those being wins. They are in the 10th spot on the standings and have 21 points. They need one more win. Their margin of -3 maintains them out of the race for now. Out of the five clubs that have 21 points, three teams are better off than them, Morelia, Pachuca and Atlas.

Pachuca will try to win to be able to hold on to the 8th spot on the standings. They have not won in four games. This could cost them a spot in the playoffs if they don’t win tonight. They see themselves obligated to change the course of their game in order to achieve that.
