“Looking” star Raúl Castillo has been cast to play DC Comics villain Eduardo Flamingo, as Variety reported. The actor’s character will debut on the ninth episode of the show’s second season. Based on the comic books, the character is one of the city’s most lethal assassins and detective Jim Gordon’s (played by Ben McKenzie) arch nemesis. McKenzie recently hinted at Castillo joining the series’ cast in an appearance on the “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

Castillo will be part of HBO’s “Looking” special, which will mark the end of the cancelled show, and can be seen on the Netflix movie “Special Correspondents,” which was written and produced by Ricky Gervais. The actor is currently involved in four independent films: “Celestina,” “Staring in the Sun,” “Sweets” and “Finding Albie Finch,” and was just named one of Variety Latino’s ’10 to Watch.’ “I think being a Latino in Hollywood requires you to work harder since there are less opportunities,” Castillo told Variety Latino. “But the situation is definitely changing now.”
