The Golden Raspberry Awards, better known as "Razzies," are here again, unveiling their nominations on the same day as the Academy Awards in their "mission" to highlight the worst of the film industry last year.

Latina actresses are quite present in this edition, with Jennifer López (The Mother), Ana de Armas (Ghosted) and Salma Hayek Magic Mike's Last Dance) among the five nominees for Worst Actress. They are joined byMegan Fox (Johnny & Clyde) and Dame Helen Mirren (Shazam! Fury of the Gods).

The Worst Picture category, which last year went to 'Blonde,' is led this year by The Exorcist: Believer, directed by David Gordon, followed by the fourth installment in The Expendables (Scott Waugh), Meg 2: The Trench (Ben Wheatley), Shazam! Fury of the Gods (David F. Sandberg), and Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (Rhys Frake).

For the 'Worst Actor' category, the nomination list includes Russell Crowe in 'The Pope's Exorcist,' Vin Diesel in 'Fast X,' Chris Evans in 'Ghosted,' Jason Statham in 'Meg 2: The Trench,' and Jon Voight in 'Mercy.'

The Razzie Awards, founded in 1981, have evolved their nomination process, relying on a committee to determine nominations before distributing ballots to members. For a mere $40 annual fee or a more substantial $500 for a lifetime membership, anyone can join the ranks of Razzie voters.

Over 40 years, the Razzies have nominated celebrities without exceptions. Sylvester Stallone holds the crown as the most nominated individual, with 15 nominations, followed by Adam Sandler, who received 11 nominations for Worst Actor. Madonna comes out on top of the "Worst Actress" category, with six.

These often-questioned awards, known as the anti-Oscars, have made some high-profile missteps in the past. In 2022, they took aim at Bruce Willis before it was known that the final stage of his career was marked by aphasia. Then, amid strong controversy, the Razzies withdrew a Worst Actress nomination for an 11-year-old girl who starred in 'Firestarter.'
