Forbes recently released its annual ranking of the Top 50 Most Valuable Sports Teams and as expected, some of the most recognizable franchises sit comfortably at the top of the list.

Coming in with a current value of over $3 billion, soccer franchise Real Madrid takes over the No. 1 spot after spending 2012 behind Manchester United. Man U cracks the 2013 list at No. 2 while Real Madrid rival Barcelona rounds out the Top 3 with a value of $2.6 billion.

Four teams from the National Football League landed in the Top 10 this year with the Dallas Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones landing at No. 5 and the New England Patriots sitting at No. 6. The Washington Redskins and New York Giants sit at numbers 8 and 9 respectively.

The New York Yankees of Major League Baseball are the first non-soccer team to land on the list, sitting at No. 4 with a value of $2.3 billion while the Los Angeles Dodgers sit at No. 7, worth nearly $1.7 billion.
