The Samsung Galaxy S4 only launched in March this year: it was the fastest selling Android phone in history. But rumors are already swirling about the company's next mobile device. The launch of the Galaxy Note 3 a few weeks ago suggests a continuation of Samsung's launch formula, indicating a possible launch date for the Galaxy S5 early next year. As such, news sources and tech geeks around the world have been running the rumor mill with a number of new capabilities and improvements to be included in the new device.

Like Apple, Samsung has been sticking to a yearly cycle for the launch of big devices. This would suggest that next year would be the time for the launch of the Galaxy S5 and possibly even the Galaxy Note 4, though there has been little information leaked on this device. No doubt we will continue to see new improvements and entirely new devices launching soon. Naturally, Galaxy S5 rumors have been circulating like crazy. The launch is probably a few months away at least, but here are 6 Things To Know About the Galaxy S5

1. Plastic Casing: Despite rumors circulating about a new metallic casing for the phone thanks to a deal with metal suppliers for a new product, acorrding to International Business Times it looks like the S5 will continue using the same polycarbonate casing Samsung is known for using. It will, however, most likely have the same leather stitch back cover used on the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Round. This will be available in different colors. The metal casing ordered by the company will most likely be for a new device, the Samsung Galaxy F.

2. A New Camera: Sources suggest the new Galaxy will have a 16MP camera that could employ ISOCELL technology for a vastly improved quality of photos and videos.

3. A January 2014 Launch: Despite suggestions that the S5 would not launch until March next year, rumors are now circulating that it could launch as early as January. Samsung is known for launching devices to coincide with major events, and January would coincide with the CES conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.

4. New Display Technology: Samsung's display has been a point of interest for the brand, particularly with the S4 having the biggest size and best resolution yet. The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Round included the Youm flexible display, creating a screen that is unbreakable with a curve on the y-axis. Although it is unconfirmed, this new technology will most likely be an important feature of the S5.

5. A Faster Processor: Information from news sources suggest the S5 will come equipped with a brand new, ligthning fast Exynos 6 series, 64-bit processor.

6. Eye-Scanning Sensor: Though it seems Samsung will not be adopting fingerprint scanning technology, Android SAS is claiming they are working on technology that will allow users to unlock the phone with a retina scan! The developments are still unconfirmed.
