To most, Scarlett Johansson needs no introduction. But as far as associating the actress to Marvel Studios, the first thing that comes to mind is “Black Widow,” a role that she has portrayed for quite some time.

Ironically, there was that lawsuit involving Johansson and Disney tied to the “Black Widow” movie. It was a breach of contract on the actress’ payday but all that has since been settled, the Hollywood Reporter reported.

Johansson was honored as the 35th recipient of the prestigious American Cinematheque Award for her contributions to the art of the Moving Picture. Personalities present that night took turns congratulating and hailing the 36-year-old. But there was nothing more intriguing than what Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige dropped.

Feige gave an intriguing take linked to Johansson, suggesting that the two are currently working on another film that was branded as a top-secret Marvel Studios project. The only thing clear is that it is in no way associated with “Black Widow” and that the 36-year-old will also be involved as a producer.

"We are already working with Scarlett on another not Black Widow-related top secret Marvel Studios project with her as a producer. Scarlett is one of the most talented, versatile, and beloved actors of our time. It has truly been a pleasure to work with someone of her caliber. From those epic training sessions preparing for the hallway fight in 'Iron Man 2,' to the around-the-world press tour in 'Avengers: Endgame,' to partnering with you as a producer on 'Black Widow,' working with you, Scarlett, has truly been one of the most memorable and rewarding collaborations of my career. Thank you for everything, congratulations, you are of course a real-life superhero," Feige said.

Technically, the Black Widow character is dead in the current run of Marvel Studios after Natasha Romanoff sacrificed herself. But then again, the magic of turning things around is possible, especially if one thinks about the repercussions that may happen on “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”

But based on how Feige was talking, it appears that Johansson will still be around but “differently.”
