While the rumor mill has been circulating for some time that Selena Gomez may or may not have been starting rehab, we finally have an answer. After being spotted in Tennessee it has been confirmed that the pop star has checked into a rehab facility.

According to the New York Daily News, the 24-year-old pop star has indeed returned to rehab to focus on her mental health.

Gomez recently announced that she would be taking a break from her career to focus on her issues with anxiety and depression. Many people believed that her break was due to her struggles with lupus, but the publication claims that this break is strictly for her mental health.

"Selena is dealing with lupus, but this break is to focus on her mental health," one insider told the magazine. "She can go to a very dark place."

According to US Magazine, an insider describes the facility just outside of Nashville as a “private and quiet place,” but “super intense.”

The “Hands To Myself” singer announced in late August that she would be taking a break to manage her mental health. This caused the singer to cancel the 34 remaining dates on her Revival World Tour.

As we reported, Gomez recently resurfaced in Alcoa, Tennessee as she dined at the Texas Roadhouse where she greeted fans and took photographs.

"She enjoyed herself and was there for a late lunch," someone at the restaurant told E! News. "She couldn't have been more gracious to everyone and to the fans and was more than happy to take pictures with whoever."

This rehab stint is not the star’s first rodeo. In 2014, just shortly after being diagnosed with the autoimmune disease, she stopped working on music. During her recovery, the singer has been spending a lot of quality time with her family and getting back to a good place.

We wish Selena a speedy recovery!
