What’s next for the heroes in “Stranger Things” Season 4 after dealing with the Russian invasion? According to a new theory, the next villain will be Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). The show may have already set things up for the character, which will play out when it returns.

According to a new theory, the Mind Flayer has possessed Eleven, CBR reported. In the last season she was bitten by a small Meat Monster that led to the others operating on her leg to get the pieces out. She also used her telekinesis powers. All this effort would have left her weak and vulnerable after the end of the ordeal.

Although the pieces were removed, Eleven may still be infected. One of the scenes also teased the Mind Flayer possessing her, according to the theory. In the finale, when Joyce (Winona Ryder) drove the children away, a shadow falls on Eleven. This scene may be a set up of things to come in “Stranger Things” Season 4.

Eleven has so far been the muscle of the group when it comes to banishing creatures, but that dynamic may change in the next season. What if the heroes have to fight against one of their strongest members?

The plot of the next season is expected to be important because according to Screen Rant this will be the last big story the producers have for the show. In case they make a Season 5 it is expected to only be an epilogue, which means all the major events will happen in Season 4.

If this is the end, the show may bring all the major characters from all the previous seasons together. They may do that by getting all the heroes together to defeat the Mind Flayer once and for all.

There have been no official details about “Stranger Things” Season 4 as of this writing. The producers are also yet to announce an exact release date.
