University of Florida standout Tim Tebow -- who has spent time with the Denver Broncos, New York Jets and New England Patriots -- remains a person of interest around the league as multiple franchises continue to endure injury. Most recently cut by the Patriots following the conclusion of the preseason, the current free agent is being linked to a possible move to the NFC West, even though many feel he will not land a job in the National Football League this season.

According to multiple sources, the 26-year-old quarterback has drawn internal interest from the St. Louis Rams, who recently fell in their last game to the Carolina Panthers. The loss to Carolina wasn't the worst event that occurred over the weekend since the organization learned that quarterback Sam Bradford will likely miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL in the 30-15 defeat. While the Rams are expected to work out multiple quarterbacks this week and start back-up Kellen Clemens in Bradford's absence, the idea of signing Tim Tebow quickly became a story for the simple fact that Tebow is currently unemployed and because Kellen Clemens is the only other quarterback on the Rams' roster at the present time.

Though numerous Tebow supporters across the country would love to see the former Heisman Trophy winner latch on with the 3-4 Rams, it remains unlikely that the lefty will be signed by the current third place team in the NFC West.

In three NFL seasons, the former first round pick has amassed 2,422 yards through the air and 17 touchdowns while rushing for 989 yards and an additional 12 scores. While those numbers are certainly acceptable -- considering Tebow endured an embarrassing and unnecessary stint with the New York Jets in 2012 -- a career completion percentage of 47.9 seems to be the number that keeps teams away from bringing in and utilizing Tebow as their primary signal caller.

It remains to be seen what direction the Rams will go since they certainly need to bring in additional quarterback help and while it does not appear -- at least at the present time -- that Tebow will be the immediate choice, St. Louis could decide to bring in the former NCAA National Champion if they feel he is capable of keeping them in the NFC postseason picture.

Currently sitting three games behind the division-leading Seattle Seahawks, the Rams will look to stay in the Wild Card hunt with teams like the San Francisco 49ers (5-2), Detroit Lions (4-3), Carolina Panthers (3-3) and Chicago Bears (4-3).
