A Tough-On-Crime Fox News guest known for his videos criticizing crime in San Francisco is now accused of 'pimping' women out of his luxury apartment.
Ricci Wynne, 39, a former drug dealer who became a social media influencer, became popular for his viral videos documenting the harsh realities of homelessness and drug use in San Francisco's SoMa and Tenderloin neighborhoods.
Previously convicted of drug-related offenses in 2019, he transitioned to advocacy, appearing regularly on Fox News to discuss urban crime.
Wynne's controversial history also includes a probation sentence in 2021 after a high-profile arrest for organizing a "cocaine buffet" on Snapchat.
On November 20, Wynne was arrested at San Francisco International Airport on charges of pimping and pandering, the San Francisco Standard reported.
Wynne, who is on federal probation, was returning to California from a trip to Miami, accompanied by a 30-year-old woman believed by investigators to be engaged in sex work under his facilitation.
"What she does is her business," Wynne said in response to authorities asking him about the woman and alleged pimping.
His arrest comes after he was named as a suspect in the sexual assault of a 15-year-old in a previous investigation, according to a police report.
Authorities executed a search warrant on his apartment and discovered nearly $80,000 in cash, explicit evidence of sex work on three cellphones, and a lavish lifestyle funded through means which are currently under investigation.
Wynne has denied all allegations, while the woman insists she was not being trafficked.
The investigation has also raised questions about his ties to local political figures and the activist community, including Mayor-elect Daniel Lurie, with whom Wynne publicly aligned. Neither have addressed their connection in regards to the matter publicly.
