Did your favorite TV show get the axe? Find out what series were renewed and what show were cancelled for the 2014-2015 TV season! Shutterstock

TV shows come and go but 2014 seems like the year of cancelled TV, and we are just talking about the major cable networks. NBC, Fox, ABC, CBS and the CW are all giving some of their series the axe, and it’s not just a few. NBC is getting rid of a solid 10, including their sometimes hit “Revolution” that ran for a respectable two season. As for Fox, they are saying goodbye to 7 series, including “Dads” which all females are happy to see go, and “X Factor.” Fox’s answer to “American Idol” has been running internationally for several years, and survived for 3 seasons in the U.S., admittedly they had some serious turnover rate with the judges. ABC is also clearing the sleeves, cancelling 12 of their shows, including the Sofia Vergara produced “Killer Women,” which in my opinion was an immediate flop.

While ABC has struck gold with Vegara’s “Modern Family,” their other comedy series are struggling, hence the cancelling of “Super Fun Night,” “Suburgatory,” and “Trophy Wife.” One surprise that couldn’t take off for ABC was the spinoff series “Once Upon A Time In Wonderland,” taking the well-established success of “Once Upon A Time,” ABC attempted to bring Alice in Wonderland back to life, but failed rather miserably. As for CBS, like Fox’s “Dads,” they attempted to tout a male dominated series, with horrible sexist jokes, alas CBS is cancelling their aptly entitled series “We Are Men.”

In addition to “We Are Men” CBS is saying goodbye to 4 other shows including “Hostages” which crumbled under the success, and sharing of a time slot with “The Blacklist.” Last but not least, the teen-drama experts over at the CW and relinquishing three series including their moderately successful “The Carries Diaries” which ran for two seasons and served as a prequel to HBO’s “Sex in the City.” In addition to Carrie Bradshaw axe, the CW cancelled both “The Tomorrow People” and “Star Crossed.”
