The White Queen
The mini series events comes to a close tonight at 9pm on Starz! facebook.com/thewhitequeen

Ten weeks ago Starz aired the BBC original series "The White Queen", based on the book by the same name by Phillipa Gregory. The show, which has already ended in the UK, follows Elizabeth Woodville, Queen of England from 1664 until the death of her husband King Edward IV in 1483. Tonight Starz will bring to a close the mini-series event chronicling Elizabeth's rise to power as Queen and her battle to place her son and then her daughter upon the throne of England. Tonight's episode will showcase the battle at Bosworth Field, one of the most famous battles in English history.

Tonight we will see Richard III fight to hang onto the crown that so many have said he has stolen. Richard III is one of the most infamous names in history. Villainized by Shakespeare as a notorious and tyrannical hunchback, actor Aneurin Barnard has opened viewers up to a different interpretation of Richard Plantagenet. Honest, loyal and trustworthy the Richard III of "The White Queen" reluctantly takes the throne from his young nephew. Richard puts on the crown in an attempt to keep England together.

When Richard's young nephews and the rightful heirs to the throne disappear from the Tower of London whispers of treachery and murder sweep the countryside. The true story of what happened to the princes in the Tower may remain forever a mystery. Historically it is widely believed that Richard III had the boys killed to secure his claim on the throne. It is also possible that the boys were killed on behalf of Henry Tudor another climate to the English throne. Richard and Henry will meet in battle tonight on "The White Queen."

Tonight the once hopeful relationship between Richard and his Queen, Anne Neville will come to a bitter end when the once bright-eyed girl dies. Richard and his wife have grown apart after the former Duke of Gloucester became King. We should mention it was Anne's idea but that plan seems to blow up in her face as her son dies and her husband makes eyes for another woman. The dowager queen Elizabeth has been in sanctuary these passed few episodes but will come out tonight and return to her rivers home under house arrest.

The former queen's two daughters Princess Elizabeth and Princess Cecily will be brought to court as ladies to Queen Anne. Richard says he wants to keep Princess Elizabeth close because she is the heir to the house of York. Richard may also be looking for a way to wed his young niece and secure his seat on the throne. But Richard is not the only one with such desires as Henry Tudor heir to the house of Lancaster is looking to wed the young princess.

So what will happen tonight? Well if you'd rather wait and see then you should stop reading because we are about to tell you. Richard will lose. Despite Queen Elizabeth's best efforts (and by best efforts we mean magic, the queen is a witch in the Starz series) Henry Tudor crosses to England and meets the King in battle. Elizabeth tries to keep Henry away because she sent one of her sons away and replaced him with an imposter before Richard could send him to the tower. Elizabeth is still hopeful her son will be king.

If she cannot place her son on the throne Elizabeth is looking to place her daughter upon it. One way or another Princess Elizabeth will become queen. She will marry the victor of the battle of Bosworth Field and become queen. That victor will be Henry Tudor the patriarch of one of the most famous dynasties in English history.

The series finale of "The White Queen" will air tonight at 9pm EDT on Starz. The cast of "The White Queen" includes: Aneurin Barnard (Richard), Rebecca Ferguson (Queen Elizabeth), Max Irons (King Edward), Faye Marsay (Anne Neville), Amanda Hale (Margaret Beaufort), James Frain (Lord Warwick) and Michael Marcus (Henry Tudor).
